Registration Information for Introduction to Medical Biology I

The total cost for the 4-semester hour course of which one semester hour is a virtual laboratory is $1190 and includes $940 for tuition, a $10 registration fee and a $240 fee for books and technology access. Registration and books are non-refundable. Tuition is partially refundable for the first four weeks. Please see the syllabus for details.

Technology Requirements

This is an Internet based course. You will need to have access to a computer with Internet access and speakers. You may run Smart Science® labs on Windows or Macintosh computers. A Pentium 166 MHz processor or better is required for Windows, and you must have Windows 98 SE or later. For Macintosh computers, you must have a Mac OS X 10.2 or later.  Java 1.4 or later is required. It comes already installed on many computers. If you don't have it, it's free and easy to get at java.com.


Enrollment

There are two ways to enroll in the course

1. You may print and fax the registration form to Angela Morse at 207-602-5931 or mail it to her at Ms. Angela Morse, University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, ME 04005.

2. You may call Angela Morse at 207-602-2494 and she will take the information over the phone.


You may enroll any day the University is open and your course material will be sent following receipt of your credit card number or check. Your official start date is the day we send your course materials that will include textbooks and the access code for the virtual laboratory software. We will try to send these materials within a few days.
